The Kern branch of the Music Teachers' Association of California had a fall festival on October 22, 2016. 76 students performed repertoire that was published in the 20th & 21st century. Genres included classical, jazz, blues, ragtime, and contemporary living composers. 7 Harmony Road students participated in this year's event, with 3 of them receiving trophies for their high scores.
